Tuesday Evening at Camp

We had a full day in the field today.

Our adventure course is really a series of teamwork activities. This activity below required the kids to work together to climb aboard a teetering platform. It was a simple task with one or two people...

That got trickier with each added person...

But after more than a few tries, and patience running short... success.

Picnic lunches are one of the best parts of camp.

For our orienteering class, the kids learned about topographic maps.

And learned to use compasses to go on a scavenger hunt of sorts.

Archery seemed to be the favorite activity of the day.

And rock climbing at the camp climbing wall was a close second.

We have line dancing in the dining hall and an astronomy lesson planned for this evening. The skies are still clear, so we should get a good look at a couple of planets and a shining crescent moon.
